Philadelphia AFP Fall Learning Day 2019: Speakers & Topics

If you have not pre-registered for this event, you can register on site at The Science History Institute starting at 7:30 AM the day of the conference, November 21st. This session will discuss the importance of bill content and data to a cohesive payment experience across all stakeholders, and discuss new technological developments that are making the real-time transfer of money and data a reality.

Rick Fiorito is the Chief Revenue Officer for Transactis (a MasterCard company), a leading provider of electronic billing and payment technologies. Rick brings more than 30 years of experience in information technology, receivables management and payments. In senior leadership positions at AT&T, Verizon/MCI, SkyTel, NCO, BNY Mellon and ACI/ORCC, Mr. Fiorito developed the reputation as an innovative leader and developed repeatable business practices to accelerate profitable revenue growth. As president of Accelerated Payment Systems/NCO, an early EBPP market entrant, he introduced many of the epayment industry best practices that are common today. Rick Fiorito joined Transactis in April 2014 as the Chief Revenue Officer, responsible for leading the sales, marketing and product management team to exceed revenue goals and strengthen Transactis’ market leadership.

Presentation title: “Creating an FX Hedging Strategy”

Session Description:

FX hedging programs can vary greatly across organizations. In this session, operational FX hedging will be deconstructed into a basic framework to articulate the components of risk; we will then layer on the realities of the current market, accounting landscape and system/reporting considerations to illustrate leading practices in formulating an FX risk management strategy.

Kevin Jones is a member of Chatham’s Corporate Treasury Advisory team, where he advises clients on interest rate and foreign currency hedging strategies. Kevin serves clients in numerous areas including risk quantification, hedging strategy development, and trade execution. Prior to joining Chatham, Kevin worked for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, where he specialized in foreign central bank FX reserve activity and U.S Treasury markets. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in international business from James Madison University and earned his Master’s degree in Economics from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Jason Kirwan is a member of Chatham's corporate team focusing on program implementation for ChathamDirect, an end-to-end SaaS platform that streamlines the financial risk management process. Prior to Chatham, Jason was a project manager for Frontline Education a SaaS-based software company serving the k-12 educational space leading implementation and integration projects. Jason is a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) and graduated with a BS from Messiah College.
